This month we were lucky enough to follow our INDEE girl Franziska to her Haras, where she introduced us to her two mares and told us a little about herself.

Can you introduce yourself and tell us a bit more about you and what you do in life?
My name is Franziska, I'm 18 years old, and I'm a philosophy student at Saint Louis University in Brussels. Since I was little, I've always had a creative mind; I enjoy constantly questioning the things around me. I've always been drawn to books, English and French literature, philosophy, and writing. My biggest dream is to be able to join the prestigious École Normale Supérieure in Paris in 3 years. I know how challenging it is to get in, but I'm putting all the odds in my favor. I work hard every day to someday leave Brussels and study philosophy in Paris.
I've also always been intrigued by fashion. Since I was a child, I've been obsessed with top designers, fashion shows, dressing elegantly, and especially not dressing like everyone else.

What are your passions, hobbies, aspirations? Tell us about your love for horse riding. How long have you been practicing this sport?
My greatest passion of all is horse riding, which I've been doing since I was 4 years old. I'm fortunate to have two wonderful mares by my side, Garden Party and Pommery, which allow me to compete in this sport. It's true that horse riding takes up a lot of my time since I go 5 times a week; I ride both of my horses. It's not always easy to balance horses with studies and social life, but I simply know that horses are necessary for my well-being, my happiness. I couldn't imagine my life without them. One could say it's a part of who I am.

What attracts you most to the world of fashion?
What attracts me to the world of fashion is this incredibly creative universe that constantly seeks to create art with pieces of fabric. I have immense respect for every stylist, every creator. These people have gold in their fingers. They are great artists! I love spending hours window shopping, watching fashion shows from Fashion Weeks on YouTube.

How would you describe your personal style? Do you have a style icon?
For a few years now, I've been trying to have my own fashion style, to be unique. For example, I rarely wear sneakers; originally, I wanted to be different from everyone else, and today naturally I don't wear them because they are not me, they don't suit me. In summer, you'll only see me in these small tennis shoes called Bensimons, and in winter, I'm usually in loafers or vintage Dr. Martens or even boots... I would describe my style as both feminine and very androgynous... By that, I mean that there is a certain duality in my style; I love both wearing low-rise pants, whether they're jeans, cotton, or wool, with little white or black tank tops or simple t-shirts. I like to wear a leather jacket or an oversized blazer over them. Jane Birkin inspires me a lot in this way of dressing. But at the same time, I also love dressing like the perfect schoolgirl; pleated skirt, white or black stockings or socks, black loafers or boots, light blue shirt, V-neck sweater. A style a bit like Miu Miu.
In short, I love playing between the feminine and the masculine in my wardrobe. And, I admit, sometimes I tend to wear too much black, navy blue, or sad colors. Thankfully, Indee entered my life.

Since when have you known about INDEE, and what are your impressions on the brand?
I've known about INDEE for 2 years, and I've had the chance to be part of the amazing INDEE adventure for 1 year. It's a sunny brand filled with vibrant colors. INDEE reflects joy, cheerfulness. Personally, in my wardrobe, INDEE brings light, colors. Thanks to INDEE, I wear more colorful clothes, and it's a revelation! Each clothing model is so pretty, so feminine, and at the same time comfortable and cool.
